Santini & Co., founded in 1996 by Janet Gaffey, has designed over 60 residential and commercial spaces ranging from historic homes, urban apartments and new construction to lobbies, restaurants and condominium developments.

Working in an eclectic style, Janet builds unique design schemes that reflect her client’s taste and lifestyle with elements from classic, contemporary and antique styles. Her experience living abroad in Paris and Tunisia, and extensive travel in Mexico and Italy also influence her work. It is Janet’s belief that the most successful design projects happen through exploration, collaboration and trust. Whether a single room or head-to-toe renovation, it is her priority to understand her client’s needs and wishes, to provide customized solutions and resources and to ensure a smooth design experience from concept through completion.

Janet pursued her design education at the Boston Architectural Center and New England School of Art and Design and by renovating three of her own homes. She holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from Rutgers University and a Master of Social Work from Boston College. Santini & Co. shares its name with the New York furniture company founded by Janet’s great-grandfather, Anuncio Santini. It was growing up in a New York City family of furniture makers that gave Janet her first appreciation of the carefully crafted home.
